Once you have gained more experience working on your garden, you can better assess your tool requirement and preference. There may be problems, which you can foresee the tools required until you actually work on the affected areas. Also, every gardener will have a collection of tools in which some tools are constantly used, while other tools neglected and forgotten. You can spend more money on better quality tools once you have a grip on your garden and your gardening requirement.

Instead of spending hours every season wrestling with sticks and string to set up your runner bean supports, would you not rather spend ten minutes doing it the easy way, and then kick back and relax with the time you have saved? Here's how:Make yourself some steel plant supports, or get somebody to make them for you. Its easy and cheap, as the supports are best us flower shops made of round bar, which is the cheapest section of steel you can buy.

Vera falls under the plant category of succulents, and needs little more than good soil, proper drainage and timely watering to grow successfully. If you need to over seed your lawn it is important to wait until the ground has warmed up to encourage the seed to germinate. For better germination results prepare a good seed bed with a rake and top dress afterwards to protect the seed. N.B. Over seeding is ideally carried out at the end of august when the ground is somewhat warmer as this produces quicker germination. Top Dressing. Rockwool, both can be used for new seeds or clones. Do a search for my post on cloning; it'll save you time and money. Now take a drill and drill holes big enough to let the solo cups slide in but not be submerged completely in the container. Separate the holes 6-10 inches from each other and make sure they will line up above the air wand. Take the air wand and glue it to the bottom of the container, I use aquarium glue as it sticks the best for me. Connect the air wand to your air pump and fill the container with water. Once turned on the container should fill with air bubbles.
